Feyan Language
The language clashed with the image most had of elegant Fey, the sounds harsh and rumbling, nothing like their lyrical names. But spoken long enough, he began to hear the musical rain within the thunder.
Most fey know and speak the same language as Man, lingering from a time that the two races were mingled. But the feyan language is still used to invoke magic and for written texts. Names are sacred, addressing the soul. The reason they are more lyrical than the rest of the language is to set them apart from the "feyan creatures", and allow names to stand out in speech and writing. The language itself is of the elements, the roiling of clouds, the grinding of the earth, the crash of waves, the roaring fire.
The following are some feyan words and their meaning:
pexara = soul
te = to
kribel = come
navatu = swiftly
lezto = time
ai = I/me
rorken = next call
tekka = tender farewell
haeva = heart-love
kavar = bond
ravak = release
makala/ma = mother/ma
farrid/fa = father/pa
